As a longstanding contractor at several NASA centers including Kennedy Space Center (KSC), Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC),
and Stennis Space Center (SSC), YEI is proud of our legacy of supporting the Space Shuttle and International Space Station (ISS) Programs.
We look forward to the future by supporting NASA’s Orion Program, which will explore beyond low-earth orbit and into deep space.
We currently perform, or have performed in the recent past, a variety of services in support of NASA, including:
- Access monitoring and control of critical flight hardware processing facilities in the KSC Space Station
Processing Facility High Bay, including access to the ISS component processing area during completion and final checkout
before launch aboard the Space Shuttle
- Flight hardware support operations including acquisition, kitting, inventory management, and control services
- Multi-disciplined architectural & engineering (A&E) services for the KSC Operations and Checkout (O&C) Building modernization, including pre-design assessments, engineering reports and studies, field support, and project management
- Procedure development, requirements review and implementation, task leadership, and problem resolution while supporting checkout assembly and payload processing services and the ISS at KSC
- Facilities, systems, equipment, and utilities (FSEU) services including electrical, mechanical, structural, civil, painting, and heavy equipment operations
- Logistics services including logistics engineering, logistics operations, and transportation
- Facilities operations and maintenance (O&M), including corrosion control; detail painting; carpentry; signage; roofing; metal shop operations; asbestos abatement; furniture moving; bridge, elevator, crane/rigging, and heavy equipment maintenance; maintenance of paved and unimproved roads and paved runway approaches; landfill operations; pest control; grounds maintenance; clean room operations; and custodial services
- Development, integration, and implementation of the Integrated Information Management System (IIMS), a financial and work management system for the Joint Base Operations and Support Contract (JBOSC) at KSC
- Maintenance and repair of Government-owned photographic, research, development, test and evaluation, and machine shop equipment
- Facility condition assessments to observe, record, and recommend maintenance activities to maintain reliable facility performance, using personal digital assistants (PDAs) to gather data
- System engineering for electrical, mechanical, HVAC, and civil/structural systems
- Implementation of a Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) program
