Job Description: Perform a variety of facilities engineering assignments in planning and research, design, operations, and maintenance of HVAC equipment, and detailed facilities documentation support.
Qualifications: Possess excellent communication and analytical skills. Working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.
Duties & Responsibilities:- Perform design, development, or review tasks in specific areas under close supervision
- Coordinate and assist in repairs involving basic electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems
- Assist in the generation of specifications and engineering data related to HVAC equipment
- Assist in the preparation of reports and correspondence
- Establish and maintain a filing system or databases as needed for tracking project status
- Develop, maintain, and produce technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications
- Interface with customers in design reviews and technical working group meetings to comply with requirements and specifications
- Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures
- Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested

Boiler Operator NASA, MSFC, Huntsville, AL | Job Description: Performs boiler operations for a year-round, 24-hour per day, 7 days per week operating environment along with operation of portable boilers on an as-required basis. Must be able to adjust a wide variety of boilers, ranging from small electric type boilers to large natural gas fired units, for maximum operational efficiency.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent plus three (3) years or more of Technical Training.
Qualifications: Must have a Commercial Driver License (CDL) or be able to secure the license within one month of hire date. Subject to background/security check.
Duties and Responsibilities: - Monitor boiler feed water to ensure proper water conditions to prevent mineral deposits and corrosion in the boiler
- Perform preventive maintenance and routine operational checks of each boiler in operation every two hours while on shift
- Perform advanced operational and safety checks of each boiler in operation once per 8-hour shift, including blowing water columns, flame check, and checks of safety lockout devices
- Perform preventive maintenance actions and perform boiler fueling operations
- Employ instrumentation and trouble-shooting skills to detect and resolve boiler operational problems
- Perform fuel transfer operations
- Sample boiler water chemistry to ensure Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) levels are maintained within specified range
- Assist boiler mechanics in major maintenance operations and annual boiler inspections.
- Perform other position related duties as assigned or requested
