Operations & Maintenance
HVAC Mechanic
Offutt AFB, NE
Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent, and equivalent of 5 years of experience
  • Knowledge of accepted practices, processes, materials, and tools of the maintenance trades
Job Description:
  • Responsible for daily HVAC operations and maintenance of systems to include all computer room air conditioning units.
  • Establish inspection frequency, and develop job plans for maintenance. Monitor system health, readiness status for peak design performance of HVAC systems.
  • Test systems with calibrated instruments, study deviations, and perform adjustments when indicated.
  • Maintain or reduce long-term energy costs.
Qualifications: Journeyman license, 40 CFR 82.158 Certified, 40 CFR 82.161 Certified Technician

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Installs, services, repairs, inspects, and performs PMs on HVAC and other mechanical equipment per documented procedures and manufacturer’s specifications
  • Documents results
  • Refrigerant Recovery, System M&R
  • Thorough knowledge of centralized chill water systems and related equipment for 1800 ton chillers
  • Maintenance of Air Handlers with pneumatic and digital controls including secondary pumps, damper motors, blower motors and belt replacement
  • Reheat coils and preheat
  • Knowledge of High Pressure Steam Plant Operations
  • Water treatment knowledge
  • Ability to work independently troubleshooting and responding to service work orders
Other: Must be able to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.

Systems Engineer
Offutt AFB, NE
Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related scientific field, at least 3 to 5 years of job-related experience or equivalent.

Job Summary: Perform a variety of engineering assignments in planning and overseeing research, development, design, manufacture, test, installation, operation, and maintenance of diverse electronic/mechanical equipment and systems and generally as a member of a design, analysis or review team on more complex assignments or as a lead on less complex assignments.

Qualifications: Technical experience and working knowledge of Facilities Systems O&M. Strong background in Building automation systems. Ability to write detailed procedures for equipment maintenance and PM scheduling. identify equipment and tools to be used and detailed step by step instructions to be followed. Good communication and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs. Position will require the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Security Clearance.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develops/modifies documented procedures in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications, industry best practices, and applicable codes and standards
  • Performs RCM analyses on assigned Property and Equipment (P&E)
  • Modifies Maintenance and Repair (M&R) activities and documentation based on the results of RCM analyses
  • Performs root cause failure analyses on equipment where failure has caused or threatened mission or schedule impact
  • Operates and maintains building systems to include: High Pressure Boilers, Large Chillers, Air Handlers, Pumps, Cooling Towers, DDC controls, Computerized Maintenance Managements Systems, Computer room A/C Units, and other related equipment
  • Responds quickly to emergency situations
  • Summons additional assistance as needed
  • Monitors building systems including Fire Alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure operation of equipment as designed
  • Achieves environmental conditions prescribed by client
  • Ability to operate EMS and CMMS system Plan and schedule for planned and unplanned work
  • Diagnose breakdown problems
  • Direct, instructing and supervising maintenance technicians
  • Liaising with client departments and customers
  • Arranging specialist procurement of fixtures, fittings or components
  • Control maintenance tools, stores and equipment
  • Contain and controlling maintenance costs
  • Write maintenance strategies to help with installation and commissioning guidelines
  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested
