personnel manage and perform facility and infrastructure operations and maintenance of facilities, launch structures,
laboratories, and test-beds for private industry and government agencies including NASA,
the U.S. Air Force, and the U.S. Army. Listed below are operations and maintenance services we perform.
Reliability Centered Maintenance
YEI staff is skilled in implementing RCM solutions to improve systems reliability and realize cost savings.
We have effectively implemented RCM programs within NASA and the Department of Defense (DoD) with highly effective results.
RCM tools utilized include: analysis software, infrared cameras, vibration monitoring equipment, and oil analysis.
We have found that the studies conducted by NASA show that every $1.00 spent on RCM efforts results in a $3.00 return on investment.

E-Quality
We developed a Maximo extension named E-Quality to provide automated inspection notices to our quality staff.
Notification triggers are set based on criticality of systems, repair cost, and multiple trouble calls for the same system.
The result has been to improve availability of critical systems and reduce rework.

Systems Engineering
Using the results of RCM and failure analysis, our Systems Engineers, update preventative maintenance intervals,
increase RCM schedules and modify maintenance instructions. They also share lessons learned with other sites;
and aid our design engineers in selecting more efficient and reliable systems.

Facility Condition Assessments
We conduct facility condition and energy/water use assessments to meet either a four or five year cycle.
These assessments are used to accurately document repair/replacement and future requirements. The information is
also used to identify budget requirements and incorporate requirements into task planning.

CMMS Implementation and Integration
YEI also maintains an Information Technology Laboratory that is used to develop and validate different Maximo and IT solutions.
We have successfully introduced and upgraded Maximo to improve maintenance and reporting for commercial and Government clients.
Our IT lab has Maximo versions 4.1 thru 7.5+ installed and is used to develop customized products to support our clients.

Heavy Equipment Operations
We have the operations and maintenance skills and knowledge to manage a diverse set of vehicles and equipment ranging
from general purpose lifting equipment to fixed and mobile complex crane equipment. Lift plans are developed to ensure
proper rigging and communication with operators and spotters. Our staff conduct over 2,200 lifting equipment operations
per year and are third party certified.

Operations and Maintenance Documentation
YEI captures critical systems and facilities data to develop Standard Operating Procedures and conveys this knowledge to the
workforce through formal training. This process ensures that corporate knowledge is retained to provide consistent facilities
maintenance and to ensure safe work practices.

Predictive Maintenance and Inspection
YEI Systems Engineers monitor failures and conduct root cause failure analysis on critical and non critical systems.
This analysis results in recommendations to modify or increase the use of technology which includes vibration analysis,
oil analysis, installation of remote sensors, motor analysis, thermographic equipment, and laser alignment to reduce
unexpected failures and improve the availability of systems and equipment.
