YEI has immediate opening for a Manager of Business Development to provide acquisition support for NASA, Federal/State and DOD new business opportunities.

Required knowledge, skills, abilities and competencies include:
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance
  • Successful completion of a drug screening test
  • Valid Florida Driver’s License
  • 10+ years of NASA, Federal/State and DOD business development experience
  • Experience with cradle to grave federal contract bid and proposal processes
  • Experience in developing capture plans, schedules, and related business functions
  • Ability to travel
  • Minimum computer skills include Microsoft Office Suites ( Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

    Duties and responsibilities
  • Provide support in acquisition, contracting and program/proposal management. Utilize experience, abilities and knowledge in planning and executing Business Development projects to support client or agency mission needs.
  • Provide advice, recommendations, and documentation support for all areas of the acquisition requirements phase. Requirements support includes Statement of Work/Specifications/Requirements Documents; Acquisition Strategy Support; and Market Research and Market Surveys
  • Develop and capture new business with Federal/State Government and DOD agencies, manage proposal teams, and coordinate activities with corporate management
  • Manage/Prepare responses to Request for Quotes (RFQ’s), Requests for Information (FRI), Request for Proposals (RPF), and combined Synopsis/Solicitations. Assure responses comply with all appropriate solicitation terms and conditions.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal and corporate contracting policies, procedures, regulations and laws.
  • Prepare contractual documents such as non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, subcontracts and consulting agreements.
  • Analyze solicitation terms and conditions to assess business risks, develop pricing strategy, and proposal costs and staffing requirements.
  • Advise senior management and project managers of contractual obligations and make recommendations on all matters including terms and conditions, scope of work, liabilities, intellectual property rights, insurance, liquidated damages, service levels, pricing matters, disputes, mediations, etc.
